Captain Mark Poster, lead investigator, is a respected USCG licensed Master Mariner, a former Marine Enforcement Officer, and Lake Operations/Waterways Management Supervisor. Poster has been recognized as a subject matter expert in Boating Law Enforcement by Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.). He was tasked with updating the Boating Law Enforcement course curriculum which he taught to new Marine Enforcement Officers throughout the state for the California Department of Boating & Waterways (DBW).

His background includes recreational and commercial boating, lake & waterways management, marina & tour boat operations, dock safety, vessel operations & passenger safety. Captain Poster’s experience in many facets of the boating industry provide him with a unique perspective regarding accident investigations.
